Germany loves flowers
In the past year, a total of 2,99 billion euros were spend on cut flowers, according to figures from the Agricultural Market Agency ‘AMI’ in Bonn.
On average, Germans spend a total of 37 euros a year on cut flowers. Both figures have been more or less equal to the previous years for ages!
By far the most popular flower is the rose, which accounts for 45% in total. Tulips and chrysanthemums follow with 11 percent; gerberas and sunflowers account for 4% each.
